Card Review: Chronovisor Heritage

OHMYGODITHAPPENEDGEARCHRONICLEFINALLYGOTAVIABLETURNRESETICANFINALLYFULFILLMYTIMEMASTERCHUUNIDREAMSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

ahem.

Sorry about that.

Onto the newly revealed card itself.

[AUTO]:[Choose four other face up <Zodiac Time Beast> from your G zone, and turn them face down] When this unit is put into your G zone from (VC), you may pay the cost. If you do, you get an additional turn. Skip the ride phase of the additional turn, and Stride this card on (VC) at the beginning of the main phase.

An actually strong Turn Reset. Bushi, why have you blessed me like this?

Card Review: Chronojet Dragon Z

So we now have a new Chronojet, donning his fresh new white paintjob and ready to fight.

His skill reads:

[CONT](VC):The cost of your Stride may also be paid with "Choose a grade 3 <Zodiac Time Beast> from your drop zone, and bind it face up.".
[AUTO](VC):[Soul Blast (1)] When your G unit Stride, you may pay the cost. If you do, choose up to one of any player's rear-guard, and put it on the bottom of the deck. If a card was put, search your deck for up to one <Zodiac Time Beast> with grade+1 than the card put into the deck with this effect, call it to (RC), and shuffle your deck.

Astounding, isn't it? Now for a quick breakdown.

The first skill is a free stride skill. Needless to say, free stride is a very powerful tool that any deck would love. On top of that, Jet Z is arguably the easiest to get online in the very early stages of the game. Grade 3 Zodiac in drop? Really easy. Just call down a fodder, tutor out Jet Z, and ditch the other Zodiac you had in hand. Drop zone's setup, a unit's fielded for early aggro, deck is thinned by a grand total of one, and you've tutored out your main ride.

Asian Calendar Animals | ZTB Post-GBT11

Can I just praise Zodiacs? No, really, praise. After seeing the disappointment of early ZTB support, I wasn't feeling too fond of the deck. To be honest it sorta felt... bad during the first wave. The only really good card ZTB got was Split Pegasus, and even then there weren't many good targets for him to call.

But look where we are now.

ZTB's really great now. Hell, it's even been contesting with Time Leap for tops in Japan. Time Leap is still the superior build, of course, but ZTB can now hold its own ground as a Gear Chronicle deck that's separate from the "Cancer Meta Build". It's a very powerful, very consistent beatdown deck that gets the job done and gets it done well. It's very akin to Gold Paladin, which some of my Gurguit-main friends are pretty pissed about lol.

Introduction: Zodiac Time Beasts

Zodiac Time Beasts are the newest feature in Gear Chronicle, featuring units with Dual Race. They're
designed around the Lunar Calendar Zodiac, if that wasn't blatantly obvious.

On release, Zodiac Time Beasts were immediately compared to Chronojet Time Leap builds and deemed as worthlessand inferior in comparison, when they really shouldn't be compared at all. While Time Leap is played as a multi-attack deck, Zodiacs are built around field scalability and power columns. What Zodiac lacks in multi attack power they make up for it, to an extent, with their very strong field scalability and ability to make 21-26k Columns with virtually zero effort.
