Introduction: Zodiac Time Beasts

Zodiac Time Beasts are the newest feature in Gear Chronicle, featuring units with Dual Race. They're
designed around the Lunar Calendar Zodiac, if that wasn't blatantly obvious.

On release, Zodiac Time Beasts were immediately compared to Chronojet Time Leap builds and deemed as worthlessand inferior in comparison, when they really shouldn't be compared at all. While Time Leap is played as a multi-attack deck, Zodiacs are built around field scalability and power columns. What Zodiac lacks in multi attack power they make up for it, to an extent, with their very strong field scalability and ability to make 21-26k Columns with virtually zero effort.

This comes into play with the main key cards in the deck: Split Pegasus and Chronojet Dragon G. Both power up your ZTB rearguards and fix your field. With Split Pegasus and Chronojet you can make very solid, strong boards without using a single card in hand. It's very, very powerful and two particular combos allow you to field three rearguards very easily and very quickly. More on that in the combos post which will come sometime in the future.

Outside of Split and Jet G your rearguards all help to hit strong numbers and create big boards for, again, little investment. Chronocharge Unicorn and Speedy Bunny are both able to bump columns up to high power and fix stages, Shiftbullet can thin your deck of Grade 3s and net you a Grade 3 to Split and a Grade 3 in hand to pay for stride. Peacock is the main MVP, allowing Zodiacs to time leap  into it, activate his skill, and targeting it with Split to turn Split from a +1 to a full +2, which is really great.

There's a lot of different ways you can put Zodiacs together and, despite the small Zodiac cardpool we have at the moment, there are many various ways to build it. Definitely a Gear Chronicle deck for those who love deckbuilding.
